Executive Chef Marc Alexander
More than anyone else, it’s Chef Marc who makes Dreamz Catering real. Chef Marc’s hallmark: fresh, seasonal ingredients beautifully prepared in great tasting food. His philosophy: simple beats fussy, food must be beautiful and delicious, and his customers come first.
A graduate of Johnson & Wales College, one of the nation’s top culinary training grounds, Chef Marc worked at the Pentagon and travelled with a three-star General to Europe as a personal chef. Chef Marc returned to Washington, DC where he served as a Sous Chef at the city’s largest and most successful catering company, Occasions, for nearly nine years, managing kitchen operations, staffing, and some of the company’s largest events. He has served as the Executive Chef at several area catering companies and now leads Dreamz Catering.
Pastry Chef Marla Romash
Dreamz Catering offers the beautiful and delicious sweets and desserts of our Pastry Chef Marla Romash, creator of Marla’s Magic. Offering fine baked goods for parties, gifts, business meetings, special occasions, and unique celebration and wedding cakes and cupcakes, Marla’s Magic has gained a loyal following in the Washington, DC area and around the country.
Chef Marla’s road to the kitchen travelled through the worlds of politics and journalism, including White House service as Communications Director to Vice President Al Gore. A lifetime baker, she took a break from politics to attend and graduate with honor from the Pastry Arts Program at L’Academie de Cuisine in Maryland, one of the nation’s top ten culinary schools. She has worked in the pastry kitchen at Occasions caterers and as Pastry Chef at Federal City Caterers.
